For the third year in a row, Duplium Dallas / Toronto Disk Duplicator has been chosen as the replicator of choice for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences’ special edition DVD project. Each year a genre of films is featured for this DVD that goes to film schools and educations institutions across the country. Two years ago it was “Best Documentary” which featured such films as “Super Size Me” and “Twist of Faith” and “Hardwood.” Last year it was “Best Special Effects” which featured such blockbusters as “King Kong” and “Spider-Man 2″ and “War of the Worlds” and “The Chronicles of Narnia.” This year the category is “Costumes & Makeup: Character by Design.” We are always honored by the Academy’s confidence in their entrusting this project to us here at Duplium. I guess you could say we are an “award-winning” manufacturer in our industry, or at least the Academy seems to think so.
